One-Sided Book Printing

If your book requires one-sided printing, we offer this option upon request. One-sided printing does add to the cost of your finished book, as it uses twice as much paper and requires a wider spine. It will also increase your shipping costs.

For example, if a book or booklet with 100 pages is printed two-sided, it uses 50 total sheets. (Each sheet has two sides – a front and a back, so each sheet equals two pages.) A book printed with one-sided pages, however, uses 100 sheets, since one sheet equals one page.

If you have any questions or are unsure, call our customer service at 1.800.231.0521, and we'll be happy to explain it in more detail. We can calculate the price for printing your book one-sided.

What's the cost of single-sided book printing?

Book Size
Extra Cost for Printing One-Sided
Books up to 6 x 9
50#, 60# or 70# white offset 0.7¢ (7/10) per page per book
60# or 70# cream offset 1¢ per page per book
80# or 100# silk, gloss or white offset 1.4¢ per page per book
Books larger than 6 x 9
50#, 60# or 70# white offset 1.2¢ per page per book
60# or 70# cream offset 1.7¢ per page per book
80# or 100# silk, gloss or white offset 2.4¢ per page per book
For example, if your book was 5.5 x 8.5 and printed on 60# white
offset, the extra charge for one-sided printing would be:
120-page book 0.007 x 120 = $0.84 per book
200-page book 0.007 x 200 = $1.40 per book
350-page book 0.007 x 350 = $2.45 per book

Please note, single-sided printing is very rare. It would only be advisable if you have a specific reason. To add single-sided printing to order, simply select this during the order process (single-sided printing is listed under "other options" on the order review page). Contact us if you’d like to add single-sided printing after your order is placed.
